CALL JEUNES CHERCHEURS RENAISSANCE 2025

International Congress of Young Researchers of the European Renaissance 17th-19th Baeza JUNE 2025

The conference, scheduled for June 2025 in Spain, aims to provide an international analysis of the formation of the different classicisms in Europe, their birth and evolution, focusing on the journeys of clients and artists. In this context, Andalusia represents an essential phenomenon thanks to its early classicism, the important role of Charles V and his entourage in the artistic renewal and the influence of Islamic and Gothic traditions. The works seek to delve deeper into this movement, focusing on influences from Italy, France and other regions of the Iberian Peninsula and comparing it with the dynamics of other classicisms, particularly in the territories under the rule of the Habsburgs. Visits are planned to important landmarks of architecture and the visual arts in Baeza, Jaén, Ubeda and the castles of Canena and Sabiote.

The deadline for submitting proposals is Monday, March 31st.

Proposals may be presented in French, German, English, Italian or Spanish.
