CALL FOR PAPERS – PHD WRITING WORKSHOP
21-23, May 2025.
The Dutch University Institute for Art History (NIKI) in Florence
This workshop for PhD candidates in planning history, hosted at the Dutch University Institute for Art History (NIKI) in Florence, Italy in collaboration with Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam, the International Planning History Society and the journal Planning Perspectives, offers a unique opportunity to develop academic writing skills and to have papers published. Organized by Gabriel Schwake (VU Amsterdam), Stephen Ramos (University of Georgia, US) and Filippo De Pieri (Politecnico di Torino), the workshop will provide participants with expert guidance on how to structure and write academic papers. With interactive sessions and individual feedback, the workshop aims to support emerging scholars in their quest to become successful and published academics in planning history. We also hope to train future leaders of the International Planning History Society. The papers developed during the workshop will be published, pending peer review, in Planning Perspectives. Join us!
